CLASSES SUITABLE FOR OVER 55’S
- Over 55’s Movement & Meditation – Monday & Wednesday 11:30am (includes herbal tea and chats before and after class) $12 cash/credit card drop in class anytime or 5 x classes for $50 block. This is a great class for all abilities, either spending the majority of the class standing or lying down using props to mobilize, stretch and strengthen the whole body. Or sometimes the class will be predominantly done in a chair again using a variety of props. Our teachers offer modifications and progressions where needed depending on your ability. *we do have clients who can only sit in a chair for the duration of the class.

- Yin Stretch Reformer
- Yin Yang Flow / Slow Flow – more suited to those who have no pre-existing conditions or restrictions

There is lots of research that Yoga (when practised correctly) can have various benefits for seniors. We often focus on the benefits of the physical body, e.g mobility, flexibility, strength and fitness. You can achieve all these great benefits from Seniors Yoga and Seniors Pilates but you can also benefit from many non physical attributes. Such as better quality and improved sleeping habits, keeping the mind sharp, release of happy endorphins and hormones, reduction in inflammation that contribute to many chronic conditions.
Other researched benefits show improvement and control of blood sugar levels and high blood pressure. Not to mention weight loss, breathing improvement (greater lung capacity), pain reduction… the list goes on and on!
We’ve created a beautiful community area for you to enjoy before and after classes so joining Flow is also a great way to improve your social life and meet new likeminded people in the local Wangara area.
